On March 25-26, Sinosteel XTMMC held a technical seminar on manufacture and application of HSS rolls in Ningbo,Zhejiang Province. Our deputy general manager Zou De-cai and more than 80 people from over 20 large-scale domestic steel enterprises including Baosteel, Handan-steel,WISCO, Taiyuan-steel  Tangshan-steel and etc.attended the meeting. The delegates carried out in-depth exchanges on the manufacture and application of HSS rolls, discussed the right ways to reduce the consumption and the purchasing cost of rolls and they agreed to further promote the localization of high-end rolls for the domestic steel renterprises.

In his speech, Zou De-cai,in the name of our company, firstly gave his warm welcome to the delegates. After he briefed them on the development and technical achievements of our company,he said, since we began to research and develop the HSS rolls in 1993, we were the first to break the foreign monopoly,we have produced a series of HSS rolls with proprietary intellectual property rights,thus laying a solid foundation for the localization of HSS rolls.Then he introduced the excellent performance of our HSS rolls used in 18 rolling lines in more than 10 companies, including Baosteel, Anshan-steel, WISCO, Handan-steel,Benxi-steel, Shougang, Tangshan-steel, Baotou-steel, Taiyuan-steel Anyang-steel and etc..Zou De-cai called the upstream and downstream enterprises to form a strategic cooperation union to share the resources on the basis of mutual benefits under the condition that the international financial crisis has not yet been fully eliminated, so as to accelerate the localization of high-end rolls in China’s steel enterprises.

At the meeting, the persons in charge from Baosteel,Handan-steel,WISCO and Tangshan-steel respectively releasedc their summary reports and experience exchange reports on the applicatiom of HSS rolls independently developed by Sinosteel XTMMC and they thought highly of our HSS rolls.The experts from Baosteel and our company gave special reports on the manufacture and application of HSS rolls.When the meeting was over,the delegates said that they had further deepened their knowledge about the manufacture and application of HSS rolls and the seminar had a positive role and was a milestone in the process of promoting the localization of HSS rolls.
